Plico's upfront and weekly pricing in WA includes standard installation costs. This makes our quoting process all-inclusive and easy to understand. However, because every home is different, some installations may require additional equipment or installer time. This can be due to site constraints at the property, safety or compliance requirements, the size or scale of the system and/or because additional features have been requested.
We break down exactly what is and what isn't included in a "standard installation".
What's included?
- Structural: Single-storey homes with tin roof
- Pre-existing equipment: No existing solar, battery or inverter system to be removed
- Pitch: Standard roof pitch of 20º- 25º
- Equipment: Portrait-mounted panels with minimal shading
- Location: metro location
What isn't included?
These are the items that may attract additional installation costs:
- Structural: Two-storey homes, tiled roofs
- Pre-existing equipment: Removal of existing solar, battery or inverter system
- Electrical: Three-phase systems, meterbox or switchboard upgrades, trenching, any additional electrical work
- Equipment: Optimisers (for panel shading), tilt frames, horizontal-mounted panels, battery awnings
- Location: Travel to regional locations may may incur an additional fee
How much is a standard installation?
Standard installation costs for solar + battery systems with a 5 kW inverter are generally between $3000 and $5000 (+ GST).
Standard installation costs for battery only systems with a 5 kW inverter are generally between $2250 and $3250 (+ GST).
Larger systems generally take longer to install and so will incur a higher installation cost.
