This is a managed service agreement, which means that your weekly payments over the ten-year contract period cover the upfront cost, as well as services and replacements. That is, it goes beyond the cost of the system.
Other items included in the service agreement include:
- Installation
- Replacement battery and inverter
- Maintenance and repair services
- Virtual Power Bank operational services
- Community Fund profits
Our VPP Service Agreement model is not just a pay-it-back arrangement; we want to ensure there are no ‘surprise’ costs associated with the system.
Vital services are necessary for the VPP to operate. Once SUSI’s investment has been returned, the contract fees will reduce to simply cover the running costs, minus the income produced, with the community owning the VPP entity.
