Can I increase my battery storage?

If your household's energy needs have changed since your original Plico installation, or you simply want to make the most of the battery rebates on offer, a battery expansion could help you get more value from your system.

Can My Battery Be Expanded?

Plico currently supports expansion of compatible:

  • AlphaESS systems
  • Fox ESS systems
  • Sigenergy systems
  • Redback Technologies systems

Most battery expansion projects are straightforward, however a technical review is required before we can confirm compatibility and available capacity. Factors we assess include:

  • Available space within your existing battery cabinet
  • Available installation space around your battery system
  • Compatibility and availability of battery modules
  • The age of your existing battery, inverter and solar system
  • WA Whole of Site Compliance requirements (WA only)

Our team will review your current setup and provide personalised recommendations based on your home's requirements.

How the Process Works

1. Submit a Battery Expansion Enquiry

Complete the Battery Expansion enquiry form on this page. 

2. Technical Assessment

You will be assigned a PLico Project Manager who will review your system configuration, battery compatibility and site requirements.

3. Receive Your Personalised Recommendation

We'll provide a no-obligation quote outlining your battery expansion options, expected capacity increase and any required upgrades.

4. Installation

Once approved, our team will coordinate the installation and commissioning of your additional battery capacity.

5. Payment

You can choose to pay for your battery expansion upfront or if you are on a CEPCO or Plico Finance agreement, you can add the cost to your regular instalments.
